Bud Rice is an award winning singer and songwriter based out of Montreal. He
grew up in a musically influenced home; his father, Jazz musician Dave
Gossage, inspired him to start playing as a child and his charisma and natural
drive put him onstage in bars as early as 15 years old. Now 31, he has written
and produced two studio albums, each representing the diverse influences in
Rice’s songwriting. Drawing influence from deep roots folk, blues, rock and
motown, Bud Rice is a truly unique addition to Canada's music scene. His most
captivating feature however has always been his attention to lyricism.
Bud’s lyrics are deeply emotive, heightening the authenticity of his raw and sincere sound.
